　　Yutaka KANEDA

Yutaka Kaneda was born in Osaka, Japan, on February 20, 1951.
He received the B.E., M.E. and Doctor of Engineering degrees from Nagoya University,
Nagoya, Japan, in 1975, 1977 and 1990.
In 1977, he joined the Electrical Communication Laboratory of Nippon Telegraph and
Telephone Corporation (NTT), Musashino, Tokyo, Japan, where his work included
microphone array signal processing, sound field control, and acoustic echo cancellation.
Since 2000, he has been a professor in acoustic signal processing at the Department
of Information and Communication Engineering, Tokyo Denki University, Tokyo, Japan.

He received the IEEE ASSP Senior Award in 1989 for an article on inverse filtering of
room acoustics, and paper awards from the Acoustical Society of Japan in 1989 and
1991 for articles on adaptive microphone arrays and active noise control.
Prof. Kaneda is a member of the Acoustical Society of Japan, the Acoustical Society
of America, the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers of
Japan, and IEEE.
